Past Events

Reel Islington has run successful screenings and events since 2007 including the Odeon, North Library, Hideaway, Landseer Gardens and the Whittington Community Centre.

Islington Exhibits

On the 16th July 2011, short films by filmmakers working within the visual arts arena were screened within the Old Fire Station building. Islington Exhibits is an annual initiative to unlock venues in Islington and give artists and craft makers a platform to display their work.

Platform Festival

Film submissions created by, for and with young people aged 13-19 to screen at Islington’s first dedicated Youth Arts Festival 15th and 31st July 2011.

Mayton Street Festival

The afternoon of Saturday 11 June 2011 1-5pm saw a series of free events at the Old Fire Station Community Centre, including Reel Islington screenings.

Commissioned films

Thanks to funding from Islington Council we commissioned 6 ‘Green’ Films.

Puppets On Film at Little Angel Theatre 2011

We are proud to be working in association with Reel Health Stories; everybody’s got a story to tell about healthcare, and this is a unique attempt to access those stories.
