Kate Dunn
I am a freelance promo director and editor working mainly in Channel 4’s on air advertising department, 4creative. I have been a runner and a production assistant but I always wanted a more creative role so learnt how to edit and started cutting clip based promos for Film4. After a couple of years of doing this I began pitching ideas for shoots and when one of my ideas got chosen I was given the role of director. That was at the beginning of this year and I’ve now done 3 others since. In between doing these I still cut clip based promos.

Ben Garfield

I am a young writer/director with big ambitions, working through the week as a film location coordinator for location agency Amazing Space.
Having graduated from university in summer 2010, I worked across the film industry in small jobs, internships and work experience placements. I landed a job as a photographer at location Amazing Space and rose quickly through the ranks to become a senior coordinator.
My long-term ambition is to be a writer/director and my latest film, about a game of Poker played with Tarot cards, is nearing completion. It is a pilot for online poker company PokerStars and could lead to my first commissioned series of films.

My workshop will focus on low-to-no budget filmmaking and how my best-mate-turned-producer and I turned an original idea into a film with a realistic chance of financial return.

Tim Robey

Tim Robey has been reviewing films, interspersed with the occasional interview, for the Telegraph since 2000.
He read classics at University College, Oxford, and was runner-up for best arts journalist in both the Guardian and Independent Student Media Awards in 1999.
He has been a UK media correspondent for Variety, and co-edited The DVD Stack (Canongate), a guide to the best versions of films available globally
